The Big House

A detective mystery in VR that uses interactive conversation–the player’s voice–as its primary mechanic.

You’re a detective assigned to your department’s most notorious beat: solving the gruesome crimes committed by your 8 y/o daughter’s dolls and stuffies.

The Big House takes the, “Let’s pretend we’re…” of childhood fantasy, and invites players to get soft-boiled and silly. Our goal was to push the possibilities of dramatic, performative gameplay within an immersive VR experience.

Ultimately, solving the mystery is all in service of helping a little girl understand that nothing has to be perfect; we should all celebrate our mistakes.
